There is no doubt that the dyeing process of yarn causes damage to the environment.
However, if all the people in the world were to wear white clothes with no color from top to bottom, it would not be a very rich life. Our goal is to achieve a balance between a colorful life and the environment.
Our own dyeing factory in China has been actively investing in wastewater facilities since its establishment, and has never fallen below the standards of recent environmental regulations. In addition to that, we have submitted a declaration of non-use of azo dyes for yarns sold by us, and we have received the “OEKO-TEX certification”, which certifies the world’s highest level of safety for more than 300 hazardous substances, far exceeding the safety standards in Japan. In 2019, we were able to receive “class I” certification, which is the most stringent of the OEKO-TEX standards.
In Japan, our partner company, Ozawa Senko Corporation, has succeeded in saving energy through its unrelenting efforts. The company received the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the Energy Conservation Grand Prize in 2017.
